Tues Oct 3rd, RSTA will be playing an in-store acoustic set at the
Waves/NRM in Oakland to celebrate the release of the X-Files cd. We'll
play a 20 minute set some time between 5-7 pm. Other performances by
Paul Tabachneck, Buzz Poets, Intonation and Grapevine.
Related note: 'Mud Pit' has been getting some semi-regular latenight
spins on 105.9 The X. Agent Honky Doubleass has reported a play at 8:30
pm last night even. If ya have some extra time on your hands, why not
give a call to 333-WXDX and request it? Some sample formats for
requesting songs:
"Hi, I have a wombat stapled to my brain! Won't you please play RSTA's 'Mud Pit'?"
"Hi, I make LSD and garlic soup for Army Special Forces! Won't you
please play RSTA's 'Mud Pit'?"
"Hi, my girlfriend and I just had a baby tonight, and we're naming her
'Mud Pit', after RSTA's heartrending ballad tribute to Bob Hope. Won't
you..." etc etc
Sunday Oct 15th, RSTA will perform live on the X-Files from 8 to 9 pm.
Call in while we're playing and tell Lenny that you've been thrown into
a murderous rage of happiness, won't you?
Reminder: Water Shed 5tet's 10th anniversary show/Farewell Performance
will be on Friday Oct 13th at the Club Cafe in the South Side. I just
talked to God and he said 'Yea, verily I bespeak to thee there will be
wheat separated from the chaff, and a great weeping and gnashing of
teeth, a vessel will enter them with the word 'wormwood' written on the
side, and the waters will become bitter, a trumpet will sound as the sky
cracks open, and a third of the world's people will grow extra arms and
join the drum circles of the Beast, and another third will find their
feet covered in caustic chewing gum, and the final third had better get
their asses to the Water Shed show if they know what's good for them.'
